I’m not aching anymore
Because I’ve realized something along the way.
My heart was always broken,
I  just never noticed
Because I was too caught up with you beautiful smile
And your beautiful lies.

I won’t lie
And say that I’m okay and that
Everything’s perfect now that you’re gone.
Because it’s not.
Some days it’s hard to breathe
And I just want to crawl and hide.
But then I remember that with you
I was always hidden by the
Perfect princess that you wanted me to be.

I’m not perfect
And neither are you.
I’ve finally realized that you were just a human.
I convinced myself that you were something special
And that I was lucky to have you,
When I should have convinced myself that
I was special and that you were lucky to have me.

With you I was no one
Because you convinced me that I was nothing at all.
I won’t lie and say that life is perfect now
Because sometimes it’s hard to breathe and sometimes
I can barely sleep.
But then I remember that with you I was merely a broken doll.
